LCF BA PRESS SHOW 2011 SUPER NOVA!

IT SEEMS LIKE ONLY YESTERDAY I WAS SHOWING MY GRADUATE COLLECTION AT THE 2007 BA PRESS SHOW FOR LCF AT THE ROYAL ACADEMY.... SIGH ... IT WAS IN FACT 2007 - TIME FLIES!!!!


THE COLLECTION THAT MOST IMPRESSED ME TONIGHT (AT THE STUDIO ON KINGDOM STREET IN PADDINGTON)  ALSO WON BEST COLLECTION!  TO QUOTE FROM FASHION CAPITAL: 


"The final 25 were whittled down from over 200 design graduates by a panel of judges who watched every graduate collection over a marathon two days of internal shows and deliberated over each student’s photographic line-up. Judges included couture designers BOUDICCA, designer TUOMAS LAITINEN, regular fashion and editorial contributor for 10 Magazine NATALIE DEMBINSKA, PATRICIA MCCARTHY Creative Designer Pattern Cutter for Westwood, McQueen and Nichol Dinnigan and JOEL BOUGH Fashion Editor of AnOther Man Magazine."


AND THE OVERALL WINNER WAS................... NOVA ! 


THEY SAY GOOD THINGS COME IN SMALL PACKAGES AND IN THIS INSTANCE ITS LITERALLY TRUE!


A VERY STRONG COLLECTION WITH A HUGE AMOUNT OF DETAIL, EMBELLISHMENT EMBROIDERY AND CREATIVITY. 


A FEROCIOUS LARGER THAN LIFE COLLECTION FROM A POCKET SIZED DESIGNER.

HARRISON TAYLOR JOHNSON - ELEGANT DESTRUCTION

In 2009 I was very lucky to have an amazing assistant on my SS10 collection, Harrison all the way from America! 


This is his impressive sculptural BA graduate collection! Best described in his own words:


"My senior collection begins and ends with origami.  I have translated complex origami folds from paper to fabric.  The process of folding, and the geometry behind it, informs all of the seam lines.  The intention is a stark landscape of geometry."

Philip Levine: Headism

From the 4-9th of May, Philip Levine will be launching his first solo exhibition "Headism" in the Dutch Cultural Gallery Pop Up Space in London's Fitzrovia. 

Revealing never seen before head designs, this art work is set to be iconic.

Stylesight launched the newYoung Designers Council of which Ada Zanditon was selected to be part of! Alongside designers Charlie Le Mindu and Mary Katrantzou. 

Whilst sipping on cocktails our Zanditron, Ony, dressed in Ada Zanditon SS11, was given a introduction to the fashion forward site in The Soho Hotel's Crimson Bar.
